  41. Hello Sara , We just got back from dinner with your parents. We were happy to hear from them as it had been a while since we last saw them in the desert and wondered if they were ok . We are just heartsick to hear what you and your family have been going through . Words cannot even begin to express how sad we are that your precious Bridget has such a devastating illness , and that you, yourself had to battle breast cancer as well . Tooooo much of a burden for one family . Soooo unfair . Looks like you have a wonderful support system though, and this website is incredible . Hope you had a wonderful time in Disneyworld !! Know that we are thinking of you and that our thoughts and prayers are with you . Big hug to Bridget and much love to all of you. I will also be placing a donation to Bridget’s cause . Again , so sorry to hear this news. Love , Ann Marie and Rich Zawadzki

  42. Sara, thanks for sharing news about Bridget. Needless to say, she is in our thoughts and prayers, as are all of you.

Well its about time Grandpa BOB adds something to this guest book—I can only say that Sara Dave Harrison and Bridget have been climbing Mount Everest and their journey to the top has been a journey like no other family in the Jensen family can ever surpass—their expedition to the TOP is and will always be a journey we all should admire and pray we could do as well.

  44. Guys, I just found out about this from one of your school mom friends who works for a consulting client of mine. Our prayers and those of the entire Coll family are with you.

Please hang in there and let us know if there is ANYTHING we can do!

  55. As I was driving back and forth to Indiana during the break picking up Andritsch kids, I was on 294 and there was a large billboard that got my complete attention. It read, “Noah’s Hope. Help find a cure for Batten Disease!” I just wanted to let you know that the word is getting out there about this sad disease. I hope so many others see the sign and it starts to make a difference. We are excited to be coming to the Read-a-thon. For the wonderful teacher who helped Marielle and Patrick become the readers they are, this is just a small token we can give back to you and your family.
You are always in our prayers,
    Mary Foersterling and family

  58. Sara,

I am a friend and classmate of your dad’s. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Loras is actively involved in dance marathon and last year raised $87,000.00 for the Children’s Miracle Network. Part of the dynamic of that program is the opportunity our students have to become involved with some of the miracle families – often life changing experiences for our students. Recently I had an opportunity to share your story with the executive team (DM). One of them commented, “that’is why we are so committed to this.” I will continue to hold you in my thoughts and prayers. I put Bridget’s name in our chapel prayer book, so our students will be praying for her (and you) daily.
    John Walsh

  59. Hi Sara,
We haven’t met, but I am a friend of your sister-in-law Deb. She has shared what you are going through, and I just wanted you to know that I have been praying for you and your family. I pray and trust that God will give you the strength you need for each day, and will comfort you as only He can. I pray that Bridget will experience God’s peace as well and know that she is always held tightly in His arms.

God Bless you all and please know that there are many people praying for you, and miracles happen everyday.

  66. Having been recently diagnosed with MS, I understand the difficulty of having a disease with no cure.
It makes life very tough for all in the family.
Finances are hard to keep up with, as well.

I ask that everybody who hears Briget’s story to donate at least $5.

If EVERYONE does this, it will add up to a huge amount of money and hope.

We will pray for your daughter and your family.
    Best of luck.

  67. Your never waivering strength amazes me….you are in so often in my thoughts and prayers.

Thinking of you Sara and your lovely family.

  69. Sara,
I saw your story this week and I understand some of what you are going through. I have a special needs son (4yrs) who suffers from a rare chromosome disorder, seizures and a long list of other issues. I know how hard it is but I could see how much you and your family love your daughter and would do anything for her. So on behalf of my son we are going to donate a little something to help you. I will pray for Bridget and your family.

    Take care and god bless-

  70. David and Sara,

I continue to pray for your family and I know hundreds of others are too. I’m so glad school is almost out and you can relax and enjoy the lazy days of summer! I hope you won’t mind if I drop by this summer and give my little miss busy bee a big hug!! Be well and God bless all of you. Dawnie

  94. Also, I don’t know that this will help one iota. But I was thinking about a company that I considered for employment years ago, Cyberonics. They have a medical device that is used to stimulate the Vagus Nerve for refractory epilepsy. I have no idea if their company would have done any research for Batten but it might be worth an inquiry.

    Les, Mary and Lorelei Lynott

  100. Sara and family,

Hi this is the first time reading about your beautiful daughter. You help my son everyday with such joy and dedication. You will be in my thoughts and prayers from now on, and I will stay posted so I can help in any way.

    Sincerely,
    Annette Audino

  101. I came across your web site from another web site. I will be praying for your beautiful Bridget! I loved the photo gallery-you are truly blessed with such a happy family, in spite of everything you’ve been through & are currently going through. Your son, Harrison, sounds like such an amazing big brother with such a heart of gold. May God bless you all.
