You’ve got a great website which hilights the tragedy of Batten, but also everybody who is involved with this diseases hope that one day we may well be able to treat it. As I was driving back and forth to Indiana during the break picking up Andritsch kids, I was on 294 and there was a large billboard that got my complete attention. It read, “Noah’s Hope. Help find a cure for Batten Disease!” I just wanted to let you know that the word is getting out there about this sad disease. I hope so many others see the sign and it starts to make a difference. Loras is actively involved in dance marathon and last year raised $87,000.00 for the Children’s Miracle Network. Part of the dynamic of that program is the opportunity our students have to become involved with some of the miracle families – often life changing experiences for our students. Having been recently diagnosed with MS, I understand the difficulty of having a disease with no cure.
It makes life very tough for all in the family.
Finances are hard to keep up with, as well.
I ask that everybody who hears Briget’s story to donate at least $5.
If EVERYONE does this, it will add up to a huge amount of money and hope.

I hope Bridget knows that much more than a bunny love her that she has an entire following on here that not only pray for each each day but pray and hope for a miracle to help end suffering for all children around the entire world.. I think as parents we know we would give our entire life to save the life our child/children. I continue to pray for little Bridget that she enjoy every day and only experience smiles from all around!

Srena and Mira have two different types of Batten Disases.
Srena has the very rare for the US Virant Late Infintile Batten Disease and Mira has Infintile.
My children need has much support as this sweet little angel.
Please help my kids!

Kennicotts, we had a great time visiting with you this week. You are such inspirations to us all. We enjoyed our special time with your little angeland big brother. It was great to see how much music brings Bridget joy. Her smile at the Beach Boys playing was wonderful!

Hello David and Sara, You don’t know me, but I am here to offer support to you. I recently read a beautiful article about your family in the Kane County Magazine July 2010 issue, page 35. I want you to know that our stories are similar. You are not alone. Our daughter had Infantile NCL for almost 13 years. Then 3 years after she passed away, I too, was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. If you’d ever like to talk, please let me know by the e-mail I provided. I’d be happy to talk. Also, I don’t know that this will help one iota. But I was thinking about a company that I considered for employment years ago, Cyberonics. They have a medical device that is used to stimulate the Vagus Nerve for refractory epilepsy. I have no idea if their company would have done any research for Batten but it might be worth an inquiry.
